New Keds on the block

When I was pregnant, my workplace shifted its dress code from business-casual to casual (stellar timing!). Around this time was also the beginning of the dresses-with-sneakers trend -- and the beginning of me living in my Keds. Until that point, I hadn't really thought about wearing Keds since I was a kid. But they turned out to be an amazing solution to all my pregnancy fashion issues, and continue to solve many of my #ootd problems today. For instance, I really wanted to bring a sneaker-type shoe to the cottage this past weekend. But I overpacked, as per usual, and couldn't fit into my bag the clunky sneakers I had originally planned. I came across my Keds and realized they were perfect for this getaway -- lightweight, space saving and, most importantly, they complemented all the outfits I had packed. That's just one example and I have hundreds more. For me, Keds have become an essential.
