I thought I'd kick off the season with these Design Lab x Lord and Taylor mules. I was ecstatic to find a unique mule that wasn't a high heel. I decided that I need to be more realistic in terms of what kind of shoes I wear to work -- heels just don't seem to be practical for me anymore. So my solution is to fill my closet with funky flat or low-heeled shoes. From here on in, I don't do boring and generic.
I'm loving the spring weather right now (aside from the mosquito bites I got all over my ankles during this photo shoot) and these pointy-toes are the perfect transition shoe. They'll take me well into the summer and I'm sure I'll bring them back out for fall. I've yet to try them on with a bunch of different outfits, but I know they'll be suitable to just about anything. Best of all, I found a new brand that fits me, which was a nice welcome back after a long winter.
