The fact that I was able to get these shoes is a miracle -- well, probably more of a coincedence. I have been wanting these oxfords (specifically in blue) since the first time I saw them in store months ago. I couldn't find them in my size anywhere, and even when I asked ALDO to locate and ship them to me, they said it wasn't possible because the only three pairs of Size 5's left in Canada were out of the province. And online, I had no such luck. So at that point, I kind of lost hope and gave up. But because I swooned over them online so much, banner ads popped up on every website I visited. Talk about rubbing it in, eh?
A couple weeks ago, when I was writing my blog post on the summer shoes I love but didn't fit, I was looking for these on the ALDO site just to grab a photo of them. And there it was: a Size 5, staring right at me. I'm pretty sure I said, "Are you kidding me?" out loud at that moment. I jumped on the opportunity and ordered them right away. I honestly thought I'd get a call from the store the next day saying there had been a mistake. But no call came...and the shoes did! My guess is that someone returned these and I just happened to be online at the right time. So, thank you to whomever returned these!
I wear them with everything because they can be a great pop of colour, a neutral shoe or a colour-blocking piece. That's the beauty of pastels. The more versatile the shoe, the better. And I adore the cut-outs, which are super on trend and say summer without trying too hard. So, so happy with these. You're my shoe, blue! (Yup, just watched "Old School.")
