Animalistic urge

Writer's picture: Jordana RachelJordana Rachel

How amazing are these shoes? Animal print + chunky heel + smoking style + Cole Haan = perfection.

Unfortunately, I've never been able to wear them. They look and feel like they fit -- there's no space between the backs of my heels and the backs of the shoes, my toes are in the right spots and they're incredibly comfy. But when I walk, my heels slip right out. When I tried them on in store, I thought an insole would solve my issues. I was so wrong. The insoles (a) caused the tops of my feet to be so squished it hurt, and (b) didn't even fix the heel-slipping problem. But I didn't give up there. I then tried heel cushions (I swear by the ones from ALDO Shoes), which strangely didn't fix the problem either.

So now I'm stuck. Why can't I get these heels to work? There's gotta be another solution that I'm unaware of. Anyone out there have any tips on how to prevent slipping heels? I mean, I see women wearing shoes all the time that look huge on them (with so much additional space at the back), but even they're not slipping out of their shoes. All I want to do is wear these -- so much so that I've styled them with many different outfits. I can't help it. They go with practically everything I own. I love these shoes so much, but they do not love me back. Help!
